Este centro de investigación de tecnologías electrográficas nació con el objetivo de conservar, mostrar e incrementar una colección internacional de obras realizadas por artistas que han utilizado para su consecución cualquier tipo de máquinas y procesos relacionados con estas nuevas tecnologías de generación, reproducción y estampación de imágenes.<BR>
En 1991 el MIDE incorpora un laboratorio de tecnologías electrográficas para realizar investigaciones teórico-prácticas sobre sus aplicaciones en el campo de la creación artística. Meses después se inaugura un centro de documentación con una biblioteca especializada.»<BR>
