Descripción: Miguel Vélez Reyes received his BSEE from University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus and his SMEE, Electrical Engineer, and Ph.D. degrees from MIT in 1988, 1988 and 1992 respectively. In 1992 he joined the faculty of the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus where he is currently a Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Dr. Vélez Reyes has held internship positions with AT&T Bell Laboratories, Air Force Research Laboratories, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of modeling, estimation, parameter estimation, system identification, inverse problems, and control systems.
