Torres Muñiz associate professor at the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at University of Puerto Rico- Mayagüez.His research interests include automatic control, mobile robots, vision systems, applied image processing, sensor fusion, biological inspired systems, neural networks, and manufacturing processes. Raúl E. Torres is member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, member of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), and ex alumni of the GEM Consortium
