Descripción: Since August 2001, he has been a faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez. His research interests are in the areas of algorithms, distributed and parallel computing, and databases. He has served as referee of research articles submitted to IEEE Transactions on Comuters, 30th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, IASTED, and Parallel Processing Letters, as well as for several local conferences in Puerto Rico. He has also been referee and panel member for several programs in CISE at NSF. He is member of the ACM and IEEE.
