Descripción: «Belgian Society for Microscopy organises and supports several meetings. These can be divided into two categories. First, there is the annual general meetings which usually takes place in the fall. In even years the society combines her general annual meeting with that of a sister society from one of the neighbouring countries. A biannual arrangement with the Dutch Society for Microscopy already exists. Those meetings usually last for several days. During odd years, the society visits a Belgian company with a microscopy research division. These meetings are usually organised on Saturdays. Second, several meetings and workshops are supported on themes which can be specific to a given field or overlapping between fields. In this respect one can think of follow-ups on new techniques, demonstrations, etc. Local initiatives are strongly encouraged and can count on practical assistance from the infrastructure of the society.»
