Descripción: «The Entomological Society of British Columbia is a registered scientific society for the advancement of entomological knowledge in the province of British Columbia. Founded in 1902, the Society has a long and interesting History. We were incorporated and our By-Laws drafted in 1932. The Society caters to professional entomologists, amateurs, and educators. Membership is open to all with an interest in entomology; see Joining the ESBC. A biannual newsletter (Boreus, named after the Society Insect), an annual peer-reviewed scientific journal (Journal of the ESBC), and Occassional Papers are the publications of the ESBC. The Journal can also be subscribed to by institutions, and we have an extensive network of Exchange Partners who receive our journal in exchange for a publication of their own. There is also an annual meeting, typically in October, open to the public. There are two meetings per year of the Executive Committee. Our members, Journal subscribers, and Exchange Partners are located throughout BC, North America, and the world.»
