The ASCH promotes the maintenance of high standards for research, writing, teaching, the collection of historical materials, the formation of archives, and the interchange of ideas. Most members are professionals in teaching and writing in the history of Christianity, a diverse community of scholars associated with colleges, universities, and seminaries.
