		The J. Paul Getty Trust. «The Research Library's Photo Study Collection includes photographs of over 5,000 medieval and early modern tapestries from European and American collections. The descriptive catalog records in the Photo Study Collection Database have recently been augmented by over 4,000 digital images of these tapestries. 	The Arts of Fire: Islamic Influences on the Italian Renaissance

	The Hand Bookbinders of California's 29th Annual Members Exhibition
		San Francisco Center for the Book. «Books from as far away as Syracuse, New York, were displayed in glass cases in the store windows and in a case along the shop wall. To enhance the book display, as well as to grace the walls, Margaret Johnson loaned a framed poster of the "The Great Omar," the historic binding which went down with the Titanic, and Judy Houghteling loaned three framed marbled papers: Hikmet Barutcugil of Istanbul, Eva van Breugel of the Netherlands, and Tom Leese of Colorado. 	The Making of a Medieval Book
		John Paul Getty Museum. «The Making of a Medieval Book explores the materials and techniques used to create the lavishly illuminated manuscripts produced in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The images in these handwritten texts are called illuminations because of the radiant glow created by the gold, silver, and other colors. 	The Medieval Bestseller: Illuminated Books of Hours

Because no other book was created in greater quantity in the late Middle Ages, the book of hours has come to be called the medieval bestseller. This exhibition from the Getty's permanent collection explores manuscripts dating from the mid-1100s to the mid-1500s, including illuminated books of hours and their earlier monastic precursors, psalters and breviaries.» Europa

		«WILLIAM MORRIS - Designer, Craftsman, Writer and Socialist - was born at Elm House, Walthamstow, on 24th March 1834. He died, 'having done more work than most ten men', at Hammersmith on 3rd October 1896. The WILLIAM MORRIS GALLERY, opened by Prime Minister Clement Attlee in 1950, is the only public museum devoted to England's best known and most versatile designer.
