Descripción: «The major tasks of the Institute are research and documentation for and on all museums in Germany. The "Institut für Museumskunde (IfM)" (= Institute for Museum Studies) is the only institute who has to work for all German museums. In addition there are in every federal state (Bundesland) institutions or administrations which give support and advice for museum of their federal state.
The IfM is a public institution. It was established in 1979, annexed to the State Museums of Berlin - Prussian Heritage and is financed by the federal government and all federal states.»
