«In this site, you can get a brief introduction to the Languages and Social Songs of the Iroquois Confederacy. The Iroquois Confederacy is comprised of six different nations. These nations are the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and the Tuscarora.
Today, the language fluency level among these nations is extremely low. As of late 1998, the fluency rate at Six Nations of the Grand River was just over 1% out of a population of approximately 20,000. This site is meant to give everyone a start in learning an Iroquoian language. Three of the six languages are represented here.»
