«The AMUSE (Access to MUSEums) project featured in the Canadian Museum of Civilization's exhibition The 3rd Dimension: A New Way of Seeing in Cyberspace was undertaken to commercialize the National Research Council of Canada's revolutionary 3-D colour digitizing system and to demonstrate the potential for remote access to museum and gallery collections. AMUSE is a major step toward the Museum's goal of making its collections available throughout the world via the information highway - to become a "museum without walls".»
