«The Centre consists of two research divisions (Pharmacology and Biochemistry) with integrated physiology and biochemical pharmacology as the common denominator. Major research areas are:
-pharmacology of adrenergic mechanisms, including the cardiovascular and renal systems in health, disease and ageing.
- the functional roles of the autonomic nervous system, neuropeptides, and purines.
-the role of dopamine in renal and intestinal water and electrolyte metabolism in hypertension, heart failure and ageing.»
