Descripción: The Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (CMBN) the purpose of promoting neuroscience research in Puerto Rico.. CMBN is an inter institutional research center whose goal is to promote and facilitate neuroscience research in Puerto Rico and Caribbean. The CMBN is based at the Universidad Central del Caribe Medical School (UCC) at Bayamón. CMBN consists of a Natural Products Core Facility which discovers, characterizes, prepares and offers UCC researchers new compounds from tropical marine invertebrates to investigate their potential biological activity. Furthermore, this center has developed a Research Associate Program for new faculty members to strengthen ongoing studies in the fields of electrophysiology and molecular neurobiology.
