Descripción: «The historical Route of St. James, starts in northern Europe, crosses Switzerland, France and Spain and ends up in Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
The route through Switzerland is unique because of the scenery and the culture. Two alternatives are presented on this website. The upper route of St. James starts by Lake Constance. It continues to Einsiedeln and Flüeli-Ranft and then to the Bernese Alps, alongside the lakes Brienz & Thun, on to Fribourg and finally via Romont - Lausanne to Geneva. The other route (called the "Caritas Route") goes from Einsiedeln to Lucerne and from there to Riggisberg.»
