The new title is designed to reflect the widening scope of the applications of geophysics. To meet modern needs, the Journal of Applied Geophysics places particular emphasis on environmental, geotechnical, engineering and hydrological aspects, while at the same time welcoming papers in traditional subjects such as mining and petroleum geophysics.
