«The journal publishes original papers, review articles and notes dealing with the production and the exploitation of living resources of the oceans, coastal waters, rivers and lakes, including all fields of biology and environmental management and exploitation methods. Priority is given to applied research without completely excluding basic aspects. Submission of multidisciplinary papers is encouraged. Manuscripts submitted are carefully refereed for international relevance and quality.»
